McDonald Hong Kong- Ebi Burger aka shrimp burger

McDonald Hong Kong
I had Edi Buger aka Shrimp Burger at McDolad Citygate Outlet, Tung Chung Hong Kong after back from Disneyland on the 2nd night. I started to love Hong Kong. One of the reason is just because of CONVENIENCE. With Octopus card on hand, not only for MTR and Busess that you take even can be used in McDonald and some other convenience stores. I like it so much!
McDonald Hong Kong

McDonald Hong Kong is implementing "No Straw Day" campaign on every second and fourth Monday of the month to create public awareness on environment. I applaud its efforts to protect the environment.
McDonald Hong Kong
Here it comes. My Ebi Burger aka Shrimp Burger. I tried once in Japan last 2 years ago. It was my 1st day Lunch which I still remember vividly as I was super hungry after my arrival. Talking about this EBI Burger, it costs me HKD$ 26.30.
McDonald Hong Kong
It is something new to Malaysian as we do not have this kind of burger selling in Malaysia. You can feel the shrimp in your mouth when you bite it. To me, it is just taste like a normal burger. Not much difference I found. I was hungry too thats why tasteless to me! :P
McDonald Hong Kong
Something special- Thai Hot and Spicy Sauce in McDonald Hong Kong which you can not get it in Malaysia. Burger served with Ketchup and Thai Hot and Spicy Sauce~ I prefer thai sauce as it tastes completely different from our Chili Sauce~ Like new, dislike old? :P

Farlim Shell Station Laksa

Yesterday, after my tuition class, I went all the way to Farlim to hunt for Farlim Shell Station Laksa. I was very hungry after tuition because I didn't eat my lunch. I am sure you know why. Check out my last post.
laksatua
I was recommended by Mun Ting to this Laksa last week actually. This laksa stall is located at Medan Angsana 4, at the back of KFC Farlim. Try to find it if you are at Farlim.
laksa1
Talking about this bowl of Laksa, due to i was not feeling well, I am not sure how it exact taste like. What i know is this bowl of Laksa is spicy to me.
laksa
2 slices of fish meat and fish balls. How much it costs? RM 3.oo per bowl. Other than Laksa, they also selling Ice Kacang, Bak Kuah, Wan tan Mee etc.
ice-kacang
I orderd the Ice kacang, RM 2 per bowl as well. What i found from the Ice Kacang is....they did not serve ATAP ZI...which i like the most. Haih~

bakkua
Roti Bak Kuah, RM 1. I bought it after my laksa and ate it in my car. Some friends said the Roti Bak Kuah there is the best. To me, it is just so so! Sorry la friends! You can try them out, may be their taste suit to yours and you will love it..who knows?

Lunch @ GeorgeTown White Coffee, Pacific Komtar

GeorgeTown cafe
Old Town White Coffee? No No No.... is George Town White Coffee! Everything looks the same like Old Town, the most successful local franchise, From the Logo to the interior design, GeorgeTown is trying to imitate what Old Town is having. Trying to confuse consumers. Talking about this cafe, it is located just right in front of Pacific Komtar, Penang and officiated last few days by Penang Chief Minister YAB Tuan Lim Guang Eng.

GeorgeTown cafe
I was there for lunch after our pre-wedding shoot at Penang Chinese Town Hall with Nicholas and Min Xiang. Nick did blog about it yesterday. Our initial plan was to walk around the newly open Pacific Komtar. Since there was a New Cafe open just in front of Pacific Komtar, why not we have a try? That's how we were at GeorgeTown White Coffee.

As mentioned by Nick, the cafe looks Big and Pretty. I agred with that too. But come to service, I gonna pengsan. Looking at the staffs, the 1st thing I will comment is, they will the approach the customers. They are not freindly enought, late to present their Menu, slow in Moving and the most important thing which I observed is, they're not well trained.

We were told that the system was down and unable to process our order immediately. The cafe compensated us with a plate of Kuih.

Comes to the Menu, mostly same as what Old Town Cafe is offering but George Town White Coffee offers more Local Penang Food. Price looks reasonable but of course not as cheap as hawker foods at the roadside.

GeorgeTown cafe
We ordered 2 GeorgeTown White Coffee, 1 Chocolate Drink (shown as above), 1 Nasi Lemak and 2 Nasi Rendang. Personally, i would prefer Old Town White Coffee.
GeorgeTown cafe
After 20+ minutes we waited, we rasied up our hands but it took a few minutes for them to come to us. Minus 1 mark again. Furthermore, when we asked how long shall we wait again for our meals, the malay girl said she will check for us but in the end, never come back to us. Minus another 1 mark. I was very fed up at that time becuase I was late tyo my tuition class again due to this stupid slow response to our request and order.

After another 5 minutes of waiting, I've decided not to wait since I was late for the class. I felt guilty to my students when I'm not punctual. We headed to the counter and cancelled our meals. We just paid our baverages in stead. Of course, we will complaint on their service. Again, they keep on saying sorry, our system was down. To me, running a cafe/ restaurant always have to be well trained for the backup plan what if the system is down. Do not rely too much on computer nor system. Always have a backup plan in order to satisfy the customers.

I am sure there is a room of improvement for this cafe if they wish to go on smoothly and success in the near future. 1st thing they have to do is to train the staffs to move a little fast instead of walking slowly. Your boss hired you to work not to shop in the shopping complex. Always serve the customers with your SMILE.

At that moment, I was wondering and ask Nick and MX " Let's try what if we just run away from the cafe after our dirnks and see whether they will chase us or slow moving like a turtle?" " We never have this kind of experience before right?" :)

Hopefully, they can improve themselves. Will I revisit this cafe? It depends on whether this cafe has improve their Service or not as well as provide WIFI service!

Federal Restauramt @ Tung Chung City Outlets, Hong Kong

Federal Restaurant, Tung Chung City Gate Outlets
During our 1st day in Hong Kong, we had our dinner at Federal Resturant at Tung Chung City Outlets which was hosted by Hong Kong Leos. If you noticed from the above picture, everything is in GOLD colour, from Folk to Spoon. I was shocked when I was told that one table is about HKD 2000+.
Federal Restaurant, Tung Chung City Gate Outlets
Their course dinner is a bit different from what we have in Malaysia. Usually, we will have our 8 courses dinner but they have 11 courses. I was asking myself, can we finish all the 11 courses later? Some dishes are in a very small portion, eg. Fried Rice and Yee Mee.

Looks nice, tasty and delicious? Honestly, they are! I don't even have my dinner in Malaysia like this before. It looks perfect in the way they serve as well. Anyhow, I don't think a tourist will visit and dine in Federal Restaurant. I'm just sharing the photos!
What I like from this restaurant is their Service! Thumbs Up for their service! Keep on changing plates and serve us a number of times if there was any leftover dsihes.

Chao Inn Restaurant @ Hong Kong International Airport

Chao-Inn-Dim-Sum
My 1st day lunch in Hong Kong during my Hong Kong Trip last week- Chao Inn Restaurant Dim Sum in Hong Kong International Airport. This is a free lunch hosted by our lovely and friendly leos in Hong Kong. We were brought to this restaurant to fill up our empty and growling stomach. All lot of Dim Sum we've ordered: Chee Cheong Fun, Siu Mai, Har Gao, Nai Wong Bao, Char Siew Bao, Fong Zao etc.

Chee-Cheong-Fun
harkao
sui-mai
yamkuih
fong-chao

One thing we noticed that Dim Sum in Hong Kong although it is expensive but worthwhile. Big Prawn for the Har Gao and Chee Cheong Fun. The fillings for the dim sum dishes are all more than what we have right here in Malaysia. Comparing Dim Sum in Penang and Hong Kong, Hong Kong Dim Sum is more alike Ipoh Dim Sum. They don't provide any chili sauce for us to dip with our Dim Sum. Perhaps, this is the special stuff or uniqueness of Hong Kong Dim Sum that you may only find in Hong Kong.

Humble Beginnings Swiss Chocolate Velvet

Xmas Celebration in Office

For the past few weeks, I've received a number of forwarded email pertaining to Mille Crepes which is a French Cake with “mille”, meaning “a thousand”. To me, I will rather name it as Layer Cake!

"In our Creations, there are 20 layers of crepes with a delightful combination of Fresh Cream and Vanilla Custard between each layer. The topmost layer is caramelized to give it a nice smoky sugary flavour.Everything is hand-made and hand-layered; a true labour of love." extracted from Humble Beginnings's website.

No harm for trying since they provide free delivery to your doorstep. We decided to order Swiss Chocolate Velvet for our team's Xmas Celebration. It costs us RM 68 with no topping. To me, I personally will not try this cake as often as we have for birthday as it is expensive comparing to the normal cake we buy. However, it tastes differently. If you are in search of something new, I will recomend you to try this. The texture is just perfect.

142 Economy Rice / Mix Rice @ Magazine Road

142-eco-rice
I had my dinner last few days at 142 Economy Rice which located at Magazine Road. 142 Economy Rice was formerly located at Prangin Market 社尾萬山. We usually will call it in Chinese as 社尾經濟飯/社尾雜飯, meanning Prangin's Economy Rice or Mix Rice.
142-eco-rice1
Anyway, not as economy as we can have for eating economy rice nowdays. Gues how much did I paid for the above Mix Rice? It costs me RM5. To me it is expensive. How about you? A glass of Chinese Tea used to sell at RM 0.20 but now is RM 0.50 which is more than 100% rise for this chinese Tea. Usually, Old men eat the Mix rice with plain water or Chinese Tea. It is still practicing until today. That's why I orderd it.

It is recomended if you are looking for more variety and greater choice for Mix Rice. There are a few shops nearby Prangin Mall which you may have a try. Do Check it out.
